Do you know where David Attenborough’s favourite place in the world is? The Daintree Rainforest & Cape Tribulation in Tropical North Queensland! This mans been to ALOT of places and we can’t think of anyone better than this legend to take a recommendation from! The Daintree Rainforest is a world heritage listed rainforest and the oldest rainforest in the world and is an incredible site.
The guys at Uncle Brians will take you on an awesome journey through the region and will show you some of the most beautiful spots. You’ll drive along one of the most epic coastal drives to visit the town of Port Douglas, go on a guided walk through the stunning Mossman Gorge National Park where there are crystal clear waters that go through the lush tropical rainforest and then head up through the Daintree Rainforest to get to Cape Tribulation. Whilst you are in Cape Tribulation you’ll have the opportunity to chill on the world famous Cape Tribulation beach – where rainforest meets reef, enjoy the beautiful sandy beaches and hang out under a palm tree. You’ll also get to check out the Daintree River, keep an eye out for those crocs though as this is where they live …. There is so much wildlife to spot whilst in this region, look out for the cassowaries, tree kangaroos, spiders and crocodiles!
Port Douglas: First stop is Port Douglas… Here we’ll stop for a walk and swim at the famous 4 mile beach, enjoy some morning tea and get to know each other!
Crocs!: On the way there or the way back (depending on the tides) we go looking for the famous and scary saltwater crocodiles in the wild!
Rare Wildlife & Ancient Rainforest: We cross the Daintree River on the ferry, then hit the wild side of the road and drive through some of the oldest rainforests in the world!. No time to mess around….let’s try and find a cassowary (dinosaur bird….very rare but very possible).
FOOOOODDD and Beach Time: Visit our local personnel chefs, grab some food and head for the beach….free time is on the cards!
Swimming: After lunch you will have the chance to go for a refreshing swim in a crystal clear rainforest creek that is so pure you can drink it!!! or you can choose to go on an optional tour instead (additional cost).S
Beautiful Lookouts: Time to head home via two very beautiful lookouts and enjoy some tunes as we head back into civilisation….
